12 Nights - Rome, Florence, Venice & Sicily Or Sardinia Vacation W/Air

The hotel itself was faultless. The room was great, plenty of space for 3 of us and loads of storage for our luggage. The bathroom was a good size too and I loved the fact you could open the bathroom window to let in some much needed fresh air. It had a small balcony although the view wasn't great and it's right on a main road so it was quite noisy. However, it was a really warm room so it was nice to let in some air. The staff were friendly, helpful, and had great local knowledge. The breakfast was ample, fresh, and constantly being restocked. My only negative is that it is quite far from the city. While it's got great connections in and out by bus (and metro too but we didn't use that), I would have preferred somewhere a bit more central. However, I knew this when booking and gave it a chance because of other great reviews. But just bear in mind that it's a bit of a pain getting in and out of the city. The bus was fine and ran regularly but it was often packed with standing room only, which can be tiring after a long day's sight seeing! Other than that, this hotel was clean, tidy, and completely adequate for a long weekend.

Close to bus and 15 mins to city on bus. Buses can be very busy. Hotel restaurant for dinner was not good. We got 2 pasta dishes and the pasta was cold and hard. We sent back and got same 2nd time. The breakfast is good value. PleaSe note they give " complimentary breakfast" on check in and then charge you with city tax at end of stay. The restaurant and bar was not open weekend evenings. Room was ok, bed was comfy and was cleaned every day, we only used as a base. No tea coffee facilities. No fridge. Nowhere in hotel to get fresh coffee during day if you just want to relax.. Pennylane cafe amazing next door and amazing value. 👏

Hotel is in a good location if you don’t mind a walk. It’s a bit out of the way to central Rome, but is about half hour walk to “Alter of the Fatherland” which follows on to the Colosseum etc, and a 10 min taxi ride to Castel st’Angelo. There is an underground about 15 min which is quick and easy to get anywhere. Room was pretty basic, we didn’t mind as we didn’t intend to spend much time there at all so depends what you are looking for. The bed was comfy, they have a safe. Some rooms apparently have a fridge, we didn’t. Rooms are quiet you don’t hear the traffic noise unless you have window open. I had to ask for handwash and toilet tissue when we arrived as these were empty, but they do make the up room everyday, and we had everything we needed going forward. Wasn’t the cleanest of rooms in terms of decor. There were dirty marks over the walls and the curtains didn’t look great. Staff were friendly! Would I come back to this hotel? Probably not. But it was just somewhere to put our heads after a day of site seeing. Don’t be shocked there is city tax charged at this hotel! We paid €60 for 3 nights

The hotel is decent , the towels are being changed daily and they do the bed. That is pretty much all. Our toilet seat was broken , and was fixed our last days of stay , out of 7 days. Whilst we had shower , the bathroom was flooded so used 4 big towels to dry afterwads. Does require a general painting and cleaniness. Breakfast is reallh poorly and a dissapontment . They have scrambled eggs and bacon, three different kind of ham , 3- 4 different croissants , 2 different yoghurts , a few cereals and that's all. Also staff don't add food until people wipe the last few scraps , a few times we had to wait until they brought food again to refill. Also , the biggest dissapointment , after paying quite enough for a hotel that is so far from centre , we also had to pay €110 local tax for 2 people for 7 days , why would the hotel not informed of this before booking or even on the first day of our arrival ?!! A family at the check out were arguing with the staff as they have used all money etc. It was really sad. The buses take longer than estimated , and are not always on time , also 160 seems to run every half an hour , as far as noticed. However, I would say pay a bit more and stay closer to the city with better and more choices offered .

We’ve just returned from a 4 night break at the hotel, which was perfect! If you’re considering stopping at the hotel then I’m sure that you’ve located it on a map, it’s not right in the middle of things - but thats to its credit in my opinion. It’s about a 20 min walk to get to Rialto, and an extra 10 to St Marks if you walk during the busier periods. Be under no illusion that you’re up and over a number of bridges to get anywhere, perhaps the less mobile need to be closer to the centre? If you’re okay with the walk though and are not bothered about the odd wrong turn it’s an ideal place to stop. The Cannaregio area of the island has LOADS of canalside bars and restaurants, and some down side alleys too, we were spoilt for choice. If you’re a fish lover the dining is easy, if not the choice is there but it’s a LITTLE more difficult to find. We travelled to the hotel from the airport on a Alilaguna water bus - cheap, slower than a taxi but drops you at a stop Madonna Dell’ Orto - just a 10 min walk from the hotel. Going back to the airport we joined a few other people in a water taxi (speedboat) for 140 Euro from right outside the door, 20 minute ride (cost shared between 6 of us). The hotel is beautiful, a few seats/tables outside, next to the canal for an Aperol Spritz. Breakfast every morning was included in our room rate. We had a Superior room, very nice, everything we needed and fruit and Prosecco upon arrival (Thank you to the hotel team if you read this). The hotel provide a free boat to Murano for the glass factories (make your own way back on water bus/taxi) and the option of a 40 Euro per person water taxi trip for 50 minutes from the hotel, round the island, down the Grand Canal, into the Giudecca Canal/lagoon, and back to the hotel - well worth it! Staff were very pleasant, happy to help with tips for gondola etc, and room was serviced every day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone - the location made it for us. At the end of the evening having eaten and had a drink it was a lovely wander back to the hotel from any direction, exploring as we went. - suggest taking some time to visit the Jewish Ghetto area. Get lost a little, take a few wrong turns and see where it takes you. English was spoken widely, but we’d learnt enough Italian to get us by with ordering food and meeting/greeting people.

What an excellent hotel! Located in Cannaregio area, a lovely quiet area, this hotel was around a 10min walk to Rialto Bridge. Easy 5 min walk from Vaparetto stop Madonna Della Orta (first stop from the airport on the Orange line). Hotel was welcoming, staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very quiet. Free bottles of water each day was a nice touch and not usual in many hotels. Breakfast choice was excellent as were the members of staff who looked after this area. Restaurants and bars are within a 2 min walk in all directions. Can fully recommend the boat trip that the hotel can arrange for you (€40 per person). Would absolutely stop here again if visiting Venice. You wont be disappointed.

Great location for First Stop for AliLaguna from airport orange line, Madonna ORTO, share water bus, 30 minutes, then 7 minute walk to hotel, two bridges. And last stop before going to the airport. Nice big towels, Hot shower, good water pressure, super amenities, daily water bottles. Room was perfect size for one person, plenty of storage space, bathromm was large and bright. Loved the sky lights for ventilation. Breakfast was fabulous, many choices. Quiet location, 15 minutes walk to main tourist walkway. Room was VERY warm, no air-conditioning during my visit, 80 degrees early April, bring a small fan if needed. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed a week in this tiny hotel. It is very conveniently located within walking distance of everything in downtown Catania. The rooms were very well taken care of. I particularly liked the central air conditioning (better than a window mounted loud unit). This helped maintain a very comfortable temperature to beat the extremely hot Catania summer. Combined with the ability to completely darken the room this made it possible to rest anytime during the day or night. The breakfast provided was just okay with capuchino coffee as well as pastries and yogurt. My sister needed gluten free food and they provided some gluten free bread and pastries as well as lactose free milk and yogurt. We bought fruit at the huge outdoor market and supplemented the breakfast with delicious fresh fruit.

Modern hotel in a convenient and central location, served by a stop of the airport shuttle bus. It is small (fully transparent name: though, why do rooms have a 3-digit number if there are only 8 ?) and sort of minimalistic, but clean, functional and quiet. Some easy improvements could make a big difference, such as a little tray in the shower (I had to keep the soap on the floor) and a towel hook near the wash basin (I had to use the bidet to hold the hand towel). There is a tiny terrace for the ground floor rooms, while upstairs there are more pleasant little balconies for each room. There is a little enclosed area available for car parking, not sure if available to guests. The staff was cordial and helpful. I found the price commensurate with its characteristics. I would go back, but ensure I have a room upstairs.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very near the airport. Parking was easy with a large lot adjacent to the hotel. The rooms were comfortable with a good shower and nice balcony. There was a sliding door across the balcony to shut out the street noise. The only issue was the air conditioning was turned on yet so the room was a little stuffy. The staff was very helpful and brought us a fan which took care of the issue. They property also had a nice pool area. The hotel restaurant was excellent. The staff was very good and the food was delicious. The breakfast was great with a large assortment of fruit, cheese, meats. We would definitely stay here again.
