Ikos Dassia

The overall atmosphere at Ikos Dassia is one of serenity. From the moment you step into the reception and bar area the view is just stunning. There were lots of young families as well as older couples but Ikos cater very well for both in terms of play areas and larger pools to accommodate the children but adults only areas are great if you don’t want the buzz of the larger pools. Service is really paramount at Ikos so whether it’s the pool bar or the restaurants I could not fault the service. There are 8 restaurants so plenty of food choices with really delicious food. I would recommend you book the restaurants well in advance. We had the Junior Panorama Suite which had lots of space inside and out. Double vanity in the bathroom and a great walk in shower. You can also cast on the tv should you wish to do so but there’s lots of entertainment on whether in the Sea or Sky lobbies or a show in Teatro so you can chill or get involved in the music. The customer relations and reception staff are incredibly helpful and they really do go that extra mile to make your stay flawless and seamless. We stayed at Ikos Oceania last year and were so impressed we immediately booked Dassia. I really like the brand and the standards they impose in their properties.

After looking at the Ikos hotels for a while we were very excited to visit Ikos Dassia in September as our first abroad holiday with our 9month old. Overall I would say this hotel is definitely a 5 star, but we had high expectations and it did fall short in a couple of areas (which we’ve discussed with the hotel)… Most things were amazing, particularly the service and baby-friendly nature of the hotel & staff. It made our lives so easy and stress free to have everything needed there already and we didn’t have to worry about our little one being noisy at times during dinner. We loved the aesthetic and cleanliness of the hotel, the grounds were fab, as were the beach and the number of pools. Staff in the crèche were lovely, although our little one refused to go, but something we will definitely try again next year. Anaya & The Grill House were excellent! We adored our room - we had a Panoramic Junior Suite on the top floor of the Sea building and the view and room was just amazing. Given our little one napped in the day and went to bed early we spent a lot of time in it so we were so glad we’d been able to have this room, and made the most of the room service and mini bar. The mini bar team also learned what we liked during our week and made sure to refill every day which was a lovely touch! Onto the couple of areas for improvement: - The two main pools were FAR too cold during the beginning of our stay despite being heated. We saw so many people get in and quickly get back out again, and spoke to a number of people who had the same comments. I think quite a few of us spoke to management about it. Later during our week the pools were warmer so I think this was tak en on board. - We struggled to get into a la cartes except for those we pre-booked so ate in the buffet regularly. The buffet meals were very same-y and ideally there would be better variety - I unfortunately got very ill after a meal at Ergon which I wouldn’t expect at this level of hotel. It ruined our last 3 days unfortunately but I hope I was just unlucky. My husband ate something different and didn’t fall ill thankfully A couple of things completely outside of the hotels control: The weather wasn’t great in mid September and September is wasp season (husband got stung) - had we researched these two things properly we probably would’ve come during a different month and/or chosen a different Ikos resort as both things are important to us. Overall, we loved the concept and it really is such a great place to go with a young family so we’ve booked a different Ikos hotel for next year. We would recommend!

Wow,wow,wow , this place has to be one of the greatest all inclusive beach resorts in Europe , if not the world . After finding Ikos by recommendation , and speaking to a number of people before we went , everyone spoke highly of it. Ikos Dassia surpassed all expectations , everything Room 3002, deluxe two bedroom villa with private pool beach front ,best room weve stopped in anywhere (weve done the Maldives and Mauritius ,this was better )very modern , tastefully done , spotlessly clean , 2 large bedrooms , 2 large bathrooms , large living area , 3 large screen tvs , amazing large outside decking area, large pool , a few steps from the beach but totally secluded and private , near the many pools , and close to either main building for meals at night -the accommodation was absolutely outstanding and helped make our family holiday a great one . The attention and service we received in the room was outstanding , Andre - thankyou for bringing us our body weight in drinks all 10 days , room service for daytime meals , was fast friendly and high quality (all food and drinks are of very high quality and everything is included ) George , the concierge , got us in every restaurant we asked , straight away ,along with sports club bookings , even getting our favourite wines mention back to the room before we returned from evening meals - outstanding - thankyou. Every restaurant was outstanding , the quality of food and wine outstanding , our favourites Anaya, kerkyra and fresco .every meal outstanding Bars are great , entertainment tasteful,service excellent , weve had a right good laugh with so many staff and with some lovely guests as well over the past ten days - shout out to Linton and Lisa , weve had some fun haven’t we - UNO MASS . We’ve just had one of the greatest holiday experiences of our lives - thankyou Ikos dassia We will come back , when we do it will be the same room , the villas aren’t Cheap ,but worth every penny , chilling and family fun in this amazing private family space , while being pampered , nothing is too much trouble for these guys ,but in the middle of everything as well - perfect ,10/10 , outstanding Love Ikos , if we can keep affording them , think we may try some other resorts of theirs as well - but dassia - outstanding Back to rainy Blighty now -ooohhh noooo

This was my wife and I’s second stay at an Ikos resort. We enjoyed the first so much (Ikos Oceania) that we booked the Ikos Dassia immediately upon our return. We had high expectations but the Dassia exceeded them. Every process seems designed around the guest’s comfort. Starting with the transfer. The Ikos rep met us at baggage claim to tell us where our car would be, the driver took our bags and brought the car round for us. Upon arrival we were met with a cold towel, a glass of sparking wine and had our check in whilst sat in the bar rather than the traditional stand up queue. Next our room (top floor panoramic junior suite sea view in the Sky building - not deluxe) was very large and comfortable. The balcony view was perfect. East facing so the sun rise could be enjoyed from the balcony. There was no bath but a very powerful and roomy shower. Of note there are 2 buildings - Sea and Sky. Whilst one can use any of the facilities in either they seem operate as independently capable hotels. Both have an adults only and a main pool and a bar for example. We mostly only went over there to eat at the restaurants in the Sea building. If I had a choice I imagine the Sky building (being taller - 5 stories) gets better sea views. The room had a USB port for charging, a TV you could cast music to and a makeup table. The air conditioning was quiet and effective. The food was of a very high standard. On the rare occasion dinner wasn’t perfectly to our liking one can just text the WhatsApp concierge from your dinner table and 30 minutes later there can be dinner delivered to your balcony (no extra cost). The mini bar is all included. The beach and all the pools (other than the spa pool) have a food and drinks service delivered to your lounger (no additional cost). The staff couldn’t be more generous with the all inclusive throughout. The moment you finish a drink they appear and offer another. You ask for a glass of wine at dinner and they bring the bottle just in case. We asked for a specific bottle of wine via the WhatsApp concierge and as they didn’t have it they sent a €40 bottle of champagne instead. If you enjoy checking menus in advance you can download the Ikos app and have a look. In addition to the room cleaning there is an evening turn down service. There seemed to be a lot for children with kids clubs, babysitting, kids pools and all menus having kids and toddlers menus. Whilst it’s a spread out site if the weather is poor or you can’t walk long distances you can text the concierge to arrange someone to drive you there in a golf buggy. You can take a complimentary Tesla out for the day. You have to resister in advance but essentially you arrive at the Hertz desk in the Sea building, they check you drivers license, put down a signature and they hand over the key. Very streamlined. If you’re not familiar with the car they’ll talk you through it but it’s very intuitive. The roads are often quite small and steep but with the car being automatic and it stops itself rolling back it makes it much easier. If you’re not a confident driver I’d consider your route carefully. If you ask them the Ikos will prepare you a packed lunch in a cool box to take with you. Though we were not deluxe we only ever felt like we were being given the height of luxury. We didn’t take up on it but there is an included group sunset cruise. They took payment at the end of our stay and both this year and previous we didn’t spend a penny in the resort (other than the spa I’m not sure it’s possible). We will definitely be booking an Ikos stay next year.
