Blue Bay Resort Hotel

I came to blue bay resort the begging of October with my boyfriend, we have booked the room with sea view and jacuzzi on the balcony. We absolutely loved our stay, the room was exactly like the pictures, clean and the breathtaking view was a cherry on the top. The food was delicious and a lot to choose from everyday, a lot of delicious Greek things to try as well as other dishes for more picky eaters like sphagetti so I think there is always something to choose from for everyone. My only concern would be the drinks, for me everything was a bit to sweet including the fruit juices so that is the only thing I would work on as the only thing I could drink was water but this is just my personal preference. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples as well as families with children as there is some entertainment going on every evenings as well. The staff is also very helpful and lovely, will always help you out with everything. So once again I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a nice chilled holiday with stunning views.

Absolutely amazing hotel ,the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay. The food in the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and not repetitive at all . congratulations goes out the head chef and his colleagues. Also in the dining room there is free flowing wine beer water and soft drinks for you to help yourself. Maria in the main pool bar was brilliant she never stopped working from 10am to 6pm. Some people moaned about the selection of drinks on offer as it was soft drinks,ouzo cocktails or raki cocktails and lager. But while in Greece do as the greek do. If you wanted vodka ,rum , whiskey etc you could pay extra or simply by a bottle from a shop and add your mixer for free. The entertainment was low key but all good and was in an ampitheater every night at 9.30. for an hour . Yes it is located at he top of a steep hill but there is a hotel shuttle service every day down to the small beach and returns at set times . The beach as I have said is small and gravely but if you wear swim shoes it's ok,and the is a couple of shops and 3 bars restaurants there if you spend a day there. All in all the blue bay at Agia Pelagia is one of the best hotels you could wish for a definitely a 5 Star from me and my fiancé.

When we arrived at 4:30am, we were told our room wouldnt be ready until 3pm check-in and directed to the communal sofas in reception (we had not slept at this point) this was not stipulated on booking. many of the staff were friendly, free drinks in reception 24/7, although limited selection of coffee, ice tea and orange squash(even though it said orange juice) room had mould in the shower and room smelt fausti and was very dated. no coffee or tea making facilities or stocked fridge. the fridge and aircon was loud, batteries in the tv and aircon remotes were dead. i would argue this is not a 4-star due to limited time of all inclusivity (ended at 11:30) poor selection of drinks in the all inclusive package, high use of plastic with no recycling facilities, huge amount of waste, food although quite tasty was repetitive through breakfast, lunch and dinner. lots of stairs to all over the hotel, if you have any mobility issues this holiday is not for you. pool table costs money (2€) Hotel is very isolated not much around, the village a couple of km. which is fine on the way because it was all downhill but on return it is steep hills. you can see they really tried on pool activity (e.g aqua aerobics, volleyball) but still repetitive, pool shuts at 6.entertainment is quite late, starts at half 9, is quite cheesy. There is other activities like tennis and basketball, but this is only in the morning, and again dated. Checkout is early, if you want a latet checkout it is 10€ per hour. if you want a shower it is at the pool side, if you get all inclusive you get to keep your wristbands for drink and water, plus you get coupons for free food. If you want a party this isnt the place, the only free alcohol you get is cheap wine, beer, raki and ouzo. no vodka or gin is included you have to pay more. Walls of rooms are thin and it gets loud at night. The barman at the bar of the other side out of reception up the hill was amazing and lovely. completely different vibe. cats made the holiday

We were pleasantly surprised by how immaculate and well organised this hotel is. All of the staff are friendly, and helpful. They will offer maps to local beaches, and timetables for buses. We were greeted with a lunch bag because of late arrival.and bottle of water in fridge in room. Rooms were comfortable, with daily cleaning! Housekeeping staff are fantastic. They also have a light system on room door which shows when you are in. There are coffee machines/ juice on tap by reception. The food was lovely, some reviews have said lack of choice - but that's only If you stick to the same breakfast every day! There was so much different food to choose from. We went late September, so wasn't too busy. Swimming pools were lovely with lots of sunbeds. Can't fault this place at all. * Our only grumble was Crete airport - very chaotic and grubby.
