Fortuna

We had an amazing 10 day stay at Hotel Fortuna in Milna! We loved the quiet village type atmosphere. The family run hotel is right on the water with breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea. It is very close to Old Town Hvar. Our Seaview room had a large balcony where we enjoyed gorgeous sunsets. We also enjoyed watching the daily happenings of the locals and tourists as they walked by. Josipa and Marino Tudor were such gracious owner/hosts! They gave us many tips on things to do-the best being our hike up to the rural village of Malo Grablje! Wow! Beautiful mountain views! The Hotel Fortuna restaurant food was so delicious and the breakfasts (which is included) have so many healthy choices. We found the food and drink prices very affordable. Our favorite servers, Martin and Dragun were so friendly! There are also great restaurants nearby on the water. The daily made service was superb! We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this hotel! Steve & Cindy

This is a small family-run hotel and the service was fantastic. Josipa was helpful throughout our short day and all of the waiters and staff were friendly. The hotel is a short drive away from the main town, which we liked as we prefer to be out of a crowd. You can get a shuttle to and from town for €10 each way, which we were able to arrange with no issue. We were also picked up and taken to town when arriving and leaving, for free. The hotel is right on the beach and also has a lovely pool. You can request drinks by WhatsApp, which is a nice touch for a lazy pool day. There’s a walking path to Hvar from outside the hotel. We took this one day and enjoyed some great views. You’ll need decent footwear though. The breakfast was great and there were different things available on each morning. It was great to be able to sit by the beach and enjoy breakfast. We also had lunch and it was really good. The room was comfortable and we had a nice balcony, which was overlooked by other properties. We had a few issues with the room. When we arrived there were some cobwebs on the railing next to the mini clothes line, which hadn’t been cleaned. The toilet also made a banging noise when using it, as it was hitting off the wall. We also didn’t like how much single-use plastic there was. Overall it was a lovely hotel with fantastic service, and we would stay there again.
