Hotel Canaletto

Lovely hotel, nice clean room, decor different and quirky. Great Air -Con kept the room cool. Was nice to have a fridge in the room and have a chilled drink once arriving back to rest after all the walking. Beds firm but comfortable I slept amazing and I normally struggle to sleep when away from home. We found the hotel very peaceful and quiet you couldn’t hear noise from above or people walking past your room etc. Great location just a few minutes walk to st. Mark’s square and other areas. Google maps were a god send for finding our way around venice. We also used trip advisor a lot when finding places to eat which worked well. The hotel recommend we left the key at reception we went out to explore which was ok but it lacked security as they just handed the key over when you told them the room number there was no name checking against booking, this is something I def recommend the hotel takes into consideration. Safes in room you just needed to pay 20 euro deposit. City tax paid at end of the stay, we paid 21 for 3 nights total that was for both of us. Breakfast very basic but did the job. The bread rolls, meats and cheese was a stable for me only issue I found was the bacon and egg were in a warmer and people were using both tongs which meant I couldn’t have bacon due to contaminated tongs and allergic to eggs. Overall was a great pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to others :) Thank You
