We booked this property through Costco knowing they do their research. This is NOT a 4-5 star resort but they do Not claim it to be! It’s a wonderful 3 star budget friendly resort. We knew what we booked and what to expect and saying that I would say my family were very happy! The kids area was the best! Our kids (5 & 6) had an absolute blast. The “teen” area was the water tubes were fun for the Whole family. Every morning the staff was cleaning every inch of the property and the pool was super super clean. The wait staff for the most part were friendly. Lots of food options, the sit down dining was delicious, the buffet had a ton of options for anyone’s taste. Plenty of bars around the resort. The lobby and atrium was very nice with water features. The beds were not the most comfortable but again, I wasn’t expecting 5 stars
A lot of the complaints are just so petty and I’m not sure what they are expecting. If you go in wanting a great family vaca, that’s what you’ll get!

We had a great time, there was plenty for kids to do. They loved the slides! Jesus the bellman was spectacular and always took care of us. Joel and Veronica at the pool service were excellent! Antonio at the night club was the best! Mary and Jose at the French

Jesus the bellman and Joel at the pool were amazing!!! Both were so kind and attentive to us and our kids helping to make our stay very enjoyable !!!!!!!!!Mary at the French restaurant was so nice as well. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much!!

Brilliant hotel shame about the beach

What a lovely hotel ,stayed for 2 weeks and the had the pleasure of crown tower and a jacuzzi in our room ,and exclusive use of the adults only lounge on the 8th floor which was fantastic for breakfast and late night drinks ,the beds were firm but comfy as
What a lovely hotel ,stayed for 2 weeks and the had the pleasure of crown tower and a jacuzzi in our room ,and exclusive use of the adults only lounge on the 8th floor which was fantastic for breakfast and late night drinks ,the beds were firm but comfy as were the pillows ,the staff were brilliant especially jerry ,moises and Maria in the longe they were always brilliant even during the tropical storm when we couldn't leave the lounge and kept us entertained the entire day ,food was the best I've ever had at an all inclusive ,the French and Italian al a cartes were stunning food and waynes boots was the best of the lot ,premium drinks were fantastic and free flowing ,Antonio at the adults pool bar was a star ,shame he got moved to another bar during the holiday (everyone raves about jesus ,didn't really rate him as he was pestering us for a tip when we were leaving just for passing our suitcases to us from the room they were held in )
Now the BIG downside, a group of Americans turned up at the adults bar with massive Bluetooth speakers and blasting music ,when we asked them to turn it down they said no as they had been coming to the hotel for 34 years and could do what they wanted ! We went to reception and they sent jesus up to turn it down, he just hugged the people in the group and went back down ,after a bit longer we asked again to turn the music down as it was meant to be a chill out bar not a disco ,only to be threatened off one of the group and told he was going to punch me and my father in law ,at that point I complained to security and asked for management, again very little was done ,but it did seem to stop the music for a few days until it started again towards the end of the holiday ,seems the gentleman who was blasting the music couldn't handle his alcohol and after a few got very cocky and angry if anyone challenged him .
Despite all of that I would still go again but during high season when the snack bar would be open

Our stay at this hotel far exceeded our expectations. All members of staff were friendly and helpful. The food at the buffet had a wide variety and the bars a great selection of cocktails and mocktails. As we had paid so much less that the prices from other hotels, we were really surprised at how amazing our stay was.
Our flight arrived at 6am, and the front desk ensured our room was ready so we could check in early. We had breakfast, whilst the maids prepared the room. We also received a complimentary upgrade, which was a lovely surprise!
There was a good selection of entertainment, from multiple pools and two different water parks.
We did not use any of the specialist restaurants, but the restaurant buffet was well stocked with a variety of food, that even my fussy preteens ate!
We did use the baby club for my 2.5 year old. The staff were really attentive. Everytime she walked past, she was wave at her 'friends'.
The evening entertainment was amazing. We watched The Wizard Show, Michael Jackson and The Decades. The dancers were amazing, so I would definitely recommend going to watch one.
There was a games area with pools tables, games, foosball, table tennis and Xbox. We did not have to wait to use any of these, which is probably because it was down season.
There is also a cinema, which was a pleasant surprise for our stay!

The experience in the hotel was amazing, Jonathan work above and beyond with the service with us, he help us always with a big smile. The location of the hotel is the best just a minute of time square and near all the broadway shows. The rooms were clean

Stayed in the sanctuary for 3 nights as part of a tour I did request a room with a view but was given a room with a small side view. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. We slept really well. Breakfast was basic I was fine just having

The best thing about the hotel is the location just of times square and for that reason deserves 4 stars.

Eddie and Lina provided excellent service. They ensured a smooth check in/out process, and the entire hotel staff took care of our needs at all hours of the evening. Great location, and the attached sushi restaurants were best in class. We'll be back.

Lovely hotel, ideally situated just around the corner from Times square.
Room was bijou but modern. Very comfortable bed and nice shower, which is all I actually need.
The staff are friendly and helpful.

First time in New York and right around the corner from Times Square.
Tucked into 47th between 7th and 6th avenues, the Sanctuary is a great location to just get out there and see what New York has to offer and that is frankly, bonkers and it’s all true :-)

The Sanctuary is just that, once in the doors it’s very chilled, great staff and our room was, I would say, a New York experience I didn’t know I wanted. There are *nice* rooms and ours was nice, but not nice nice - if you understand me. Decor good, fixtures and fittings nice and everything works just fine with some nice touches as well.
I have seen movies all my life and the age of the building, the aspect of the corridors and the view from our room was brick and fire escape.
I loved it :-)
Odd to say for some but for me, travel is about experience and these maybe strange observations might not land for everyone but right now we’re off on a trip which ends back at the Sanctuary before heading home to the UK, and I’m looking forward to returning.
We’ll be heading to the bar restaurant on the top floor which is super cute.
Big big shout out to Miguelina, a member of of the front desk team to don’t give up when helping me out print some information we really needed, thank you <3 you helped make our trip even better as that was the last puzzle piece to what is turning into one of the most memorable trips.
The Sanctuary is a good place to stay. Great if you book a room made to impress.
One word on the breakfast. Haha, it’s true, quite basic but great to grab some fuel before you head out.
You won’t go hungry in New York!
