This hotel is located in Avenida 5 de Outubro, number 11, 11.and enjoys an excellent setting in the commercial centre of the Portuguese capital, between Platz Marquês de Pombal and dem Platz Duque de Saldanha. It is only a couple of metres to Avenida da Liberdade and guests will find themselves in the direct vicinity of a range of bars and restaurants as well as links to the public transport network. It is around 1 km to the famous Barrio Alto and to the other tourist attractions, such as the Alfama the EXPO centre and Belém are about 5 km from the hotel. Lisbon international airport is situated approximately 4 km from the hotel.

4 night city break but could have stayed longer

very good hotel to stay ,polite staff ,hotel very clean ,nicely located for easy access to the airport and walking into town was only there for 4 nights but will defintaly visit lisbon again as still a lot to see and would defenitaly base myself here again as there isvery good hotel to stay ,polite staff ,hotel very clean ,nicely located for easy access to the airport and walking into town was only there for 4 nights but will defintaly visit lisbon again as still a lot to see and would defenitaly base myself here again as there is so much nearby ,as we were lucky enough to see part of a festival would try and go at the same so we can see it all, lisbon i enjoyed it so much i will see you again and hopefuly manage to book here again

We have just returned from a citybreak, we arrived early and were shown with great courtesy our junior suite which was very spacious. The staff in all areas were friendly, welcoming and professional . Hotel Zenit is very clean. Our room has a modern and updated bathroom with good water pressure. The maid service is thorough and everything is spotless when they finish. Located near Saldanha metro station, good neighborhood, very convenient for supermarkets and small restaurants. Helpful frontHotel Zenit is very clean. We stayed here as a couple for two nights.
Check in was prompt and we settled in quickly. We were accidentally given a room that had not yet been cleaned but it was promptly y rectified by the staff and we were given a fresh room.

Check in was prompt and we settled in quickly. We were accidentally given a room that had not yet been cleaned but it was promptly y rectified by the staff and we were given a fresh room.
Each room has a cute balcony, and the room itself has plenty of storage space. The rooms are bright and airy. It was an average size. The bathroom is fairly small and the toilet was located directly behind the door so it’s worth baring in mind if you have mobility issues or need more space.
The beds were okay for comfort, we slept well and the room was clean. The hotel is ideal if you just would like somewhere to sleep and will be out for most of the day.
The location of the hotel is very good, it’s not as busy as some of the other districts and there are some lovely parks, shops and restaurants nearby. Metro stations are within walking distance (roughly 5/10 minutes) which means it’s easy to get to and from the airport.
Overall I would rate it 3/5 stars. It does its basic job and serves as a good place to sleep and was quiet.

Great value hotel, with friendly staff

Booked two rooms for a four night stay.
The first room was an upgraded(€25 per night) larger room with a queen bed, relatively modern and nice bathroom with toiletries. The second a single room but this had a nice outside balcony.

We found the reception staff, in fact all staff very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was a mix of some warm dishes i.e quiche, bacon, beans and cold offerings like cheeses, pastries etc, all were regularly replenished and of good quality.
The location is slightly out of the hustle and bustle but a 20min walk downhill and a little longer back, the hotel is also on a bus route and taxis were around. A few good restaurants and shops were close by the area felt pretty safe and quiet.
The hotel has a nice outdoor area to just sit out and chill after a long day.
We had a late return flight and reception were more than happy to look after our cases once we checked out so we could enjoy the day.
Overall for the cost we thought the hotel was excellent, the nice breakfast and friendly helpful staff added to the experience and we will definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel. We had a room with a large balcony with sun loungers on.

Trivialities but unusual for a 4 star hotel.
Porto is very hilly and the hotel a good 45 minute downhill walk to the river. A definite metro ride back.
Augusto restaurant nearby very well recommended, but closed Sunday and Monday

Hotel decor a little blingy and dark but clean . Room was small and dark but bathroom spacious and clean . Restaurant lovely with good buffet breakfast and good choice of evening meal. Beautiful hotel and good value

Located a short way outside the main tourist area of Porto but still a very nice hotel. Our room was not an expensive one by Porto standards but was large, with a vast balcony and the biggest bed I have ever seen. Perhaps a little too big.

Breakfast ticked all the boxes and the bar was everything required. I’m pleased to say the area around the hotel is very quite over night.
The city centre is about a 20 minute walk away, mostly down hill heading into town, but the metro system is so easy to use and the hotel is only 3 stops stops down the line.
It’s not often mentioned, but the housekeeping staff did an excellent job every day.

A hidden Gem of a Hotel

The welcome from the start of our short stay was very warm and helpful. This hotel is an oasis from the busyness of Porto City. Its spotless and the rooms are well presented.We enjoyed the lovely breakfast during our stay -lots of choice.

The garden is a nice place to retreat to with a drink or to read a book.
Be warned if you don’t use the metro or bus it’s a good walk uphill from the Historic Centre of the City but it’s a nice walk down passing shops and cafes you might miss otherwise.
The reception team spoke fluent English and were always there to help and advise which we really appreciated.
Thank you Cristal Porto team for a lovely stay .

Great week in Hotel Quinta da Penha de France Mar. Highly recommend.

Just spent a great week at the Quinta da Penha de Franca Mar. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and we had a Junior Suite which overlooked the swimming pool with great views over the sea. Had an excellent breakfast overlooking the sea, where we could get an evening meal, although not every day of the week, but it was nice going up the lift to the main hotel bar and restaurant. Hotel is ideal situated for walking along the seafront to the centre of Funchal.

Basically I liked the hotel. The interieur is not the newest but okay. Especially the breakfast was good. I had some ants in my room but it did not bother me much. The garden setting is nice. Some where friendly, some where okay and some where not helpful at all. What really pissed me off at the end of the stay was the following incident: The room cleaning had already been done. Roughly 45 minutes after that I was in my room, totally naked and preparing for the rest of the day. All lighting in my room was on when the cleaning staff opened the door. Despite me shouting (!) to stay out and despite the fact that you could see and hear that the guest was present, cleaning staff entered the room invading my privacy. I consider this as an absolute no-go. It’s a basic rule in any hotel on this planet that hotel staff does not enter the room if the guest is present. And it does not matter which language you hear or understand.

Appalling- never again
Water leaking from sink - no repair for 2 days
Unhelpful rude staff reluctant to replenish coffee sachets, only one complementary bottle of water in three days stay
Rude arrogant pool attendant.( elderly stout fella ) - if you’re a few minutes late in getting off yourAppalling- never again

Poor breakfast - lack of selection . Out door seating area plagued by pigeons and aggressive seagulls - some guests insist on feeding them making them even more persistent. …. My advice - go next door to the well maintained hotels with staff who have been trained in customer service …..
