Trendy it’s a good option to stay to explore Athens either for family or for couple exploring. The location is central, close to restaurants and the attractions in the city. Truly, a hidden gem. We found this hotel on LastMinute at a really good rate, the photos definitely pulling us in. When we got here, the staff were so friendly which made us feel more at ease, and helped with taxi arrangements when we left. The room had more thanTruly, a hidden gem. The room had more than enough space for 2 people, the bed comfy and well presented, shower was AMAZING and overall this was a lovely experience to sleep in. the breakfast in the morning was alright, could be improved, but was warm and tasted good. The only thing that is such a shame is the location. I did not feel safe going out around Athens at all. During the day there are so many drug users on every corner and it is not very nice to see them actively injecting. In the evening, there were a lot of pockets of groups that would loiter and it made me feel uneasy to walk anywhere without my partner. I would keep belongings out of sight and in a safe location.

This little hidden gem is not only affordable BUT it so adorable! I do mean hidden it’s definitely on one of the smallest streets I’ve seen. BUT there are other pubs and shops there as well sooo cute! The staff is phenomenal and so helpful. The rooftop barThis little hidden gem is not only affordable BUT it so adorable! Trendy Hotel By Athens is a cute boutique hotel. We were pleased with our stay and all the amenities and the most incredible shower / bathroom. The room was a bit tight but had great AC and TV as well as a safe and awesome blower. The breakfast was great lots of options. The location while at first was a bit intimidating coming from the airport and first time in Athens all we saw was graffiti everywhere and we could not believe how much there was so we were a bit skeptical of the area but to be honest it was super safe and walking distance toward the main tourist area 20 minutes to the acropolis and lots of breakfast cafes everywhere along the way and people walking. We had a walkway where there were some bars and shops and another hotel boutique and everyone was super friendly we stopped for a drink and was given one on the house. We called Ubers at times and they pulled up right to the Trendy or to the walkway so overall we had a great stay. Staff was super friendly and accommodating and answered our emails for transportation pick up. We would recommend. Thank You Trendy.

Stayed with family and friends and absolutely loved this place. Clean rooms, super friendly staff and the hotel was in the perfect location adjacent to the Marketplace. Huge shout out to VanDyke at the Sabor bar for sharing stories and the history of the island. He is a HUGE asset to the staff. Just a great guy and so kind and human. I’d go back in a minute just to sit at his bar. Highly recommend and you can’t beat the room rate. Great value!

This is a nice hotel with a very pleasant staff and adjacent to a small tourist village with some nice restaurants. The rooms were newly done since the terrible hurricane that decimated Freeport. They were clean, spacious, nicely laid out and with a lovely view from the balcony. The rooms were newly done since the terrible hurricane that decimated Freeport. They were clean, spacious, nicely laid out and with a lovely view from the balcony. The furnishings are comfortable utilitarian and showed little sign of wear and tear. The bathroom was well lit, nice sized and with a shower that was a cinch to turn on and use. Bones Bar has great beer. We recommend the locally brewed Bones Ale. The breakfast buffet is a bit disappointing without fruit on 2 days and never any yogurt. Dinner at Sabor was excellent as they cooked our fresh catch perfectly. (Why the restaurants throughout the island refuse to serve tap water is shrouded in mystery. Apparently there was some salt intrusion but this is now corrected. Could this be a ploy to improve the bottom line).
This hotel is close to being 4 stars But to achieve a better rating I would ask for cleaner elevators, utensils and dish towels and some kitchen soap for the small kitchenette. A better buffet breakfast would also help.
We look forward to visit again next year with these improvements in mind.

3 seniors visited end of April. We loved staying in the suites. Balconies overlooking the canal, very comfortable for a 7 night stay. Entire facility was very clean & well cared for. Loved the grounds, ferry to Taino Beach, 3 pools, & location with all3 seniors visited end of April. We loved staying in the suites. All the staff from housekeeping, lobby staff, restaurant staff & grounds keepers were so nice, welcoming & helpful. Side note loved the fragrance in the lobby! Well done! If you need transportation we highly recommend 3B's Taxi & Tours.

We enjoyed use of the onsite swimming pools daily and I would recommend that anyone visit check out the onsite aquarium setup by Sabor restaurant to attract local tropical fish it is outstanding plus enjoyed the company of the local lizards by the pool daily

Amazing place, hospitality, and place to stay. The staff, Nana, Tasos were all amazing and hospitable. Absolutely loved it and would definitely stay again. Great breakfast too! Thera Mare is a lovely quiet hotel, ideal for what we were after - somewhere to rest and enjoy some peace and quiet.
We stayed for a week and found everything we needed within 10-15 mins walk - shops, restaurants, bars, beach, car/bike hire shops.
Although we didn't use it, the busThera Mare is a lovely quiet hotel, ideal for what we were after - somewhere to rest and enjoy some peace and quiet.
We stayed for a week and found everything we needed within 10-15 mins walk - shops, restaurants, bars, beach, car/bike hire shops.
Although we didn't use it, the bus to Oia and Fira is less than 5 mins walk from the hotel.
The pool was always quiet with sunbeds available at all times. Occasionally we were the only people using the area.
The rooms are small, but are sufficient. There is air con, clothing storage, a fridge, TV etc.. The hair dryer is one of those common hotel wall mounted ones that takes forever to dry your hair - I brought my own fortunately. The shower is small, and can flood the bathroom. We just cleared up with the towels provided which were changed every day. The shower was powerful and maintained the selected heat, which is always a bonus.
Due to our arrival time, staff were not at the front desk, but left very clear instructions on what we should do to access our room.
We were welcomed the following morning by Thasos, who gave us lots of info of where we should go to explore and eat. He helps with transport arrangements.
The breakfast is lacking a little - the food was nice, there was no variety, and after a few days, we chose to eat elsewhere.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was exactly what we needed. I would not recommend for kids. This is great for couples/adults looking for somewhere to relax outside of the main tourist areas of Santorini, but still be able to access them easily, this is ideal.

I would highly recommend Thera Mare. This was my first holiday as a solo woman and from the second I walked into the hotel there was a great vibe and it felt a very safe place to be. I am well travelled but this was the most friendly hotel I have been to.
The room was great and the hotel pool was perfect. The location is also great, was less than a 10 minute walk from the beach.
Would 100% go back. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay!!

The rooms are outdated, old but comfortable and clean thanks to the nice cleaning ladies
Food is the same almost everyday and saw for one week chicken cooked in different ways, and the fish is not fresh! Not what we were expecting from a supposed 4*
Staff in restaurant are very kind, especially that young guy with glasses who we saw also at the bar sometimes.
Reception very helpful, the young girl (who is in charge) and the boy in the afternoon are effective and whenever we had an issue found us solution
Overall the credits go to the fantastic team who let you forget about the old rooms and the low quality of food

Everything was great, we can't wait to come back again. The service at the hotel was excellent, the food as well, and the view from the terrace where breakfast/lunch/dinner is served is magical. It's perfect when you feel so welcomed!!!
For the first time, we are so delighted with an experience in a hotel that we want to share our thoughts with others. I simply don’t know where to start. The thing that distinguishes Acrotel Elea Beach Hotel from all the others 4 starsIt's perfect when you feel so welcomed!!!
For the first time, we are so delighted with an experience in a hotel that we want to share our thoughts with others. I simply don’t know where to start. The thing that distinguishes Acrotel Elea Beach Hotel from all the others 4 stars hotels is their kind and honest hospitality and their constant effort to make you feel welcomed and valued as a guest.
In addition, it is a pet friendly hotel and when I say pet friendly, they actually welcomed our dog Meda as their friend and as a part of our family. Pet bowls, bed and dog food were waiting for us in our room upon arrival. She was allowed everywhere except, of course, in the main restaurant during buffet breakfast and dinner and, of course, she was not allowed to swim in the pool and we also tried not to disturb other guests.
The hotel manager Miki and all the hotel staff are so caring that they check many times a day if you are ok or if you need something. During one dinner, our son wasn’t feeling ok, so the man working in the main restaurant tried to cheer him up, brought him juice and tried to make him laugh and feel better. Everything we asked for was never a problem, but they were delighted to meet our needs.
As far as the accommodation itself is concerned, we were in a superior room which was up to date and renovated with modern furniture and bathroom, more than comfortable and spacious enough. It is cleaned every day and the sheets can be changed every day if you want that (of course it is not necessary). You get towels for the pool and the beach which you can change every two days or sooner if you want. There are complimentary instant coffee and tea sachets which are refilled as soon as you use them.
I have never used or wanted to use a pool when in Greece but their pool and the pool area is so beautiful and clean that my wife actually asked us for the first time to spend some time there.
The other thing that distinguishes this hotel is buffet breakfast and their buffet dinner. There is a variety of hot and cold meals, delicious and carefully prepared caring for details, salads, sweets, barbecue, seafood, actually whatever you can think of. Every day there is a food theme based on worldwide cuisines, but there is always fish, meat, vegetables, pasta and all kinds of salads and sweets on the menu.
The hotel is a complex of several apartment buildings.
All the rooms on the upper floor have gorgeous sea view and the rooms on the ground floor have their little garden in the front. You have privacy whichever room you stay. Landscaping is so beautiful and taken care that just sitting there is a vacation. They really take care of every single detail.
Beside the pool there is a pool bar and a children playground with mini golf, table tennis and a playground for young children exceptionally clean and safe. In the evening, all children were enjoying the playground and having fun but that area is separated from the rooms so if you want to have a quiet evening coffee or drink at your room, you cannot hear the play from the playground.
If our next destination is Sithonia, without any doubt, we are coming back to Acrotel Elea Beach. Thank you Miki and all the staff for all the kindness!

Lovely Hotel & Great Staff

This is a lovely hotel with lovely Staff.
We met the General Manager Eleni on our first morning and she was excellent.
We were a bit tired as we arrived at night but she assured us that this would be a great holiday and I can also assure you that it was!

We always got a sunbed which really helps on a short break.
The Bar Staff were really helpful and Denisa was a star.
We watched her deal with some obnoxious guests in a caring way and she still gave us great service at the same time!
The beach and many restaurants are only a short walk away as is the local supermarket.
Our apartment was large with two lots of air conditioning, so a great help in the hot weather.
Then town is within walking distance if you are able bodied but do not get a taxi as it will take you over an hour to get one back!

Just returned home after a week stay here. There was a total group of 15 of us , family, friends and mixture of teenagers and young children with us. Great hotel, clean big rooms, nice pool area. Close to lambi beach and a 15 minute walk to Kos town. ReallyJust returned home after a week stay here. Stayed here for a week at the beginning of June. We're a couple in a 1 bedroom apartment. We turned up not expecting too much but were quickly blown away. The apartment felt huge. Large bedroom and living areas and a nice bathroom. Stayed here for a week at the beginning of June. We're a couple in a 1 bedroom apartment. We turned up not expecting too much but were quickly blown away. The apartment felt huge. Large bedroom and living areas and a nice bathroom. And two balconies with lovely mountain views and sea glimpses. Plenty of storage space and free bedroom air conditioning too. Outside there's a bar and pool but we didn't use this area, choosing to walk the minute or less to Lambi beach. Honestly, if you want a beach holiday, this ticks the boxes. There's a great supermarket a couple of minutes walk in the other direction. And the town centre was a lovely, level 20 minute walk or a quick €7 taxi ride.
The best bit is the staff. They're just lovely. They helped us sort a couple of niggles quickly. Helped us with car hire. Looked after our cases on departure day and even sorted towels etc so we could use their shower after spending the day on the beach before we left. Sadly our final evening was slightly marred by our neighbours behaviour. I really hope the hotel doesn't have to put up with this after we've gone. And moreover, I hope they don't think all British people are like that. We're not. We hate that too. This is a lovely hotel run by friendly people and they deserve respect. I hope the hotel staff actually report the guests to Jet2. It's about time hotels started fighting back.
Would we come back? Absolutely. We've loved our holiday. Thank you Aegean Blu.

Great place to stay to explore Kos Town.

Enjoyed a great 5 night stay here at the end of May. The resort is very picturesque, clean and well maintained with a good sized pool and sun loungers around the pool. As it was early in the season the resort was quiet and plenty of space in and around the pool.
Our apartment had 2 good sized balconies with a lovely view of the mountain and also partial seaview. The apartment was clean and spacious with a small kitchen containing essentials although we didnt really use it to cook anything.
I found the location was good with a few mins walk to the beach, a big supermarket up the road and places to eat nearby. It was about a 15 minute walk into Kos town and a nice walk by the beach, shops to get into town.
Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast had a good choice of food with savoury and sweet dishes. Also a vey nice setting for breakfast overlooking the pool.
There is some building work going on nearby although we didnt hear much noise from this.
Would recommend as a great place to stay to explore Kos Town.
