7 Nights - All Inclusive Maldives Beach Vacation W/Air

We spent 10 wonderful days on that beautiful island and we enjoyed every minute of it. We have been very warmly welcomed by Mary, our Island Hostess, when we arrived with our 22 months old daughter. She assisted us during our stay very professionnally to make it perfect. We had booked a villa with a private swimming pool. The villa was comfortable with a special mention for the semi-outdoor bathroom which is truly magnificent. The size of the swimming pool is ideal, it is shaded by magnificent vegetation and overlooks a small path which leads to the beach. The latter is also very well maintained and very pleasant. You are alone in the world! The island in general is also very well maintained, the vegetation is lush and there are magnificent birds. Being all inclusive we only frequented the main restaurant where there was a delicious buffet at each meal. The staff were just adorable and took great care of our daughter. Generally speaking, the staff at this resort are perfect! We really appreciated their kindness. We did the cruise to see the dolphins (which we saw) and the sunset fishing cruise and it was very nice. There is a kids' club with a paddling pool, swings, slides and beach games/toys. There is also a very pretty little beach next to the club that is ideal for little ones. The negative points : The mattress did not suit me (unlike my husband). Viennoiseries at breakfast aren't really viennoiseries. There was a small, fairly steep drop between the beach in front of our villa and the lagoon. My husband wanted to go jet skiing and was received unprofessionally by the person in charge, the jet skis were all out of service except one. Please note that they are independent of the hotel.

We have just returned from a 13 night stay at the lovely Dhigufaru Island resort, travelling as a family of 5 (2 grandparents & our daughter). We stayed in a 2 bed villa (309 & 310) and the rooms / bathroom were spacious. There are signs of wear and tear but overall the rooms were good. Given the time of year that we travelled we effectively had a private beach to ourselves which was lovely to spot the wildlife and swim in the crystal sea. The hotel staff were incredible and we were well looked after by the lovely chefs and waiters. Special shout out to Shubham in the main restaurant who always looked out for us at each meal. The food was delicious and we had enough variety over the 13 night stay. One recommendation would be to enhance what food they offer children - there was limited food for children here (not a problem for us as the chefs always accommodated our requests) but as a family resort I would expect more consideration on this front. The pool facilities and Thundi Bar are also great. Again most days we had the pool to ourselves and spent hours there splashing in the pool. The service was also great there and our drink requests always looked after! One recommendation would be to include the Thundi bar food in the all inclusive package during the day to mix the food options up a bit! My mother in law and I also had a wonderful spa experience - with a full body massage & facial. I have to say the two ladies there really looked after us and we felt very relaxed! The snorkelling is great and every day we saw lots of different wildlife and fishes - including dolphins when we went for a private jet ski! You can use the snorkelling equipment as often as you wish, but again I would recommend the hotel looks to include all non motorised water sports in the price. My husband and I made use of the kayaks, jet skis and my father in law and husband did a guided scuba dive. All the dive centre staff were v friendly! We recommend the sunset fishing experience - we caught a fish and had it cooked for us for dinner the same evening! All in all we had a wonderful stay & can’t recommend the location of Dhigufaru Island Resort - you will not be disappointed. Travelling in April meant we often felt we were the only ones in the hotel - true paradise! If the above recommendations could be incorporated into the service, this truly would be an outstanding stay but overall we had a great trip. Thank you to all the staff who made our first trip to the Maldives so memorable!
