Hotel Details
One of Reykjavik oldest and greatest buildings happens to be the Centre Hotel Skjaldbreið. It is a small place, but it manages to generate an atmosphere of warmth that makes every guest feel like a member of the family. Situated on Laugavegur, Reykjavik’s busiest street for shopping, no other location can beat this.
The hotel's 33 rooms have simple yet large spaces with lovely interior design and plenty of natural light. In addition to these features, Deluxe rooms also offer a panoramic view over Laugavegur from where you see the busy city below. There is a TV set in each room as well as showers, mini-bar and Wi-Fi at no charge.
Being our first hotel which used to belong to an apothecary store, Skjaldbreið has managed to maintain its historical charm. It has held onto its central position and intimate ambiance that make it stand out up until now giving visitors the most memorable moments within heart of Reykjavik.
